Paint — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 September 2026
Paint is a virtual reality painting app for Meta Quest, developed and published
by Citiview Group ("we", "us"). This policy explains what
information Paint collects, how it is used and shared, how long it is kept, and
the choices you have. Contact us at
citiviewgroup@gmail.com.
1. Information we collect
Painting on your own. Paint does not collect personal information
when you paint alone. Your settings and your list of blocked players are stored
only on your headset.
Multiplayer. When you open the multiplayer menu and host or join a
room, Paint uses these services:
- Meta Platform. Your Meta user ID and a one-time proof token
are used to confirm you own Paint (the licence check) and to sign you in to
multiplayer. If that sign-in is unavailable, a random anonymous device identifier
is created instead.
- Epic Online Services (Epic Games). Rooms, matchmaking and
voice chat run on Epic Online Services. Epic assigns an anonymous player ID and
receives the room details needed to connect players (room code, public or private,
game version, and which players are in the room).
- Gameplay data. While you are in a room, your avatar's head and
hand positions, your avatar choice, the tools you pick up and the paint you put on
the walls are sent to the other players in that room so they can see it.
- Voice chat (optional, off by default). Only if you turn VOICE on,
your microphone audio is sent in real time to the players in your room through
Epic's voice service. Paint does not record or store voice audio.
- Reports. If you report a player, the report category you choose,
that player's anonymous player ID and your anonymous player ID are sent to Epic
Online Services so it can be reviewed. Meta's own Report button in the headset menu
is handled by Meta.
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, payment details,
or images of you, and Paint contains no advertising or third-party analytics.
2. How we use information
- To confirm your licence to use Paint.
- To create, find and connect multiplayer rooms, and to keep every player's view
of the room in sync.
- To provide voice chat when you turn it on.
- To review reports of abusive behaviour and to remove or ban players who break
the rules, so rooms stay safe.
3. How information is shared
- Other players in your room see your avatar and your painting and,
if you turn voice on, hear your voice.
- Epic Games processes multiplayer, voice and report data as our
service provider under the
Epic Online Services terms
and Epic's privacy policy.
- Meta processes licence and sign-in data under
Meta's privacy policy.
- We do not sell personal information and do not share it for advertising.
We may disclose information if required by law.
4. Retention
- Room details exist only while the room is open and are deleted when it closes.
- Positions, painting and voice are sent live and are not stored by us.
- Anonymous player IDs and reports are kept by Epic Online Services only for as
long as needed to operate multiplayer and enforce bans, and are deleted on request.
- Blocked-player lists and settings stay on your headset until you uninstall Paint.
5. Your choices and rights
- You can paint without ever using multiplayer.
- Voice chat is off until you turn it on, and you can mute any player or everyone.
- You can block any player; you will not be placed in rooms with them.
- To ask for access to, or deletion of, data linked to your player ID, email
citiviewgroup@gmail.com.
6. Children
Paint is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from them. If you believe a child has used multiplayer, contact
us and we will delete the related data.
7. Security
Connections to Epic Online Services and Meta are encrypted. Paint asks for the
microphone permission only for optional voice chat.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
